Comfort Is The Enemy Of Your Progress

If you're still making sure it's the right move and planning for how not to get hurt again, you could be hurting your results.

Sounds crazy, but it's true.
I talk to a lot of ladies that acknowledge comfort is their worst enemy. And they assume that because they know it they aren't doing it.

The reality is a woman who's comfortable is a woman who's stopped trying to improve herself and many of them haven't even noticed they stopped trying a long time ago.

That's why they call well-paying jobs "golden handcuffs"... Because people with well-paying jobs can pay the bills and live well, and are relatively happy so they have no desire to improve.

If you are in your comfort zone, it may feel good right now but it’s probably causing you harm in the future.

Pain and discomfort don't feel nice when it is happening but it is what strengthens you, teaches you resilience, and makes you wiser for the future.

Plain and simple: Comfort is the enemy of progress.

The most successful women I know have extremely high pain tolerances.
I often say the quality of your problems dictates the quality of your life. By that I mean, if you have no problems you have no growth. If you have and learn to overcome big problems, you’ll have a big life.

Whenever I was severely challenged, my Mum used to say to me, “if it doesn’t kill you, it will make you stronger”. She was so true.

Looking back, I learnt so many lessons when life was the hardest and I built my internal fortitude and strength when I was most under pressure.
I’m a firm believer that if you want to make progress, improve and achieve greatness, you must operate outside of your comfort zone.

Two variables can measure how hungry you are for success:

1. How far outside of your comfort zone you play.

2. How frequently you play outside of your comfort zone.

The further you venture and the more frequently you go there, the faster your progress and the bigger your results.

How are you playing the game of life? Are you playing safe or are you playing outside of your comfort zone?
